The IS200ESELH2A is a control rack-mounted board that serves as an Exciter Selector, a critical component in power generation automation systems.
It receives logic-level pulse signals from the connected EMIO (Excitation and Modular Interface Output) board.
These signals, once received, are then transmitted to up to six exciter control boards, facilitating the control of excitation in power generators.
The board is equipped with three bridge drivers responsible for managing three Power Conversion Modules (PCMs).
While only one ESEL (Exciter Selector) is necessary for simplex systems, redundancy control or online repair may require the use of two ESELs.
